Large Item Pickup

We offer a large item clean up program for residential addresses. The service is offered Monday to Friday in summer months and Monday to Wednesday in winter months with the exception of statutory holidays. Use the form below to request a pick up and someone from our team will confirm your date and follow up with any additional questions.

 

Book a Large Item Pick Up

Thank you for your interest in booking a Large Item Pick Up. 

  • We bring items that we pick up to the Francis Cook Landfill. Consider this service a last resort to reusing, recycling, selling, or donating goods that could be diverted from the landfill. Learn more about recycling in our community. 
  • Ensure acceptable items are placed at the end of your driveway or back lane by 8 a.m. on your assigned pick-up date. Ensure all items are contained/bundled in a tidy pile.
  • The program allots two pick ups per residence per year, with a maximum of 6 items per pick up.
  • Mattresses and box springs will only be picked up on Mondays. All other items are picked up Tuesday-Friday (not including holidays)

*Please note that leaving items out more than 24 hours in advance of your pick-up date, or near a garbage bin can result in a $250.00 fine in accordance with the Bylaw 2016-11

  • Recyclables
  • E-Waste; small electronics, televisions, microwaves etc.
