West Bow River Pathway

This 5.5 km paved one way trail (11.0 km round trip) and passes through a mix of forest and meadows with scenic viewpoints along the way. This trail connects the Canmore Boat Launch to Three Sisters, is entirely paved fully accessible, and is maintained year round!
The Canmore Boat Launch trailhead is the most convenient place to park, but you can also park at Riverside Park and the Town Centre.

The trail is wheelchair accessible and paved. There is an unpaved trail near the end of the trail and reconnects at the viewpoint, this can be a good alternative for those looking for a more natural feel but is not recommended for wheelchairs or during wet conditions.
Spurline Trail

The Spurline Trail is one of our key connectors at the heart of our trail network. This is a very popular area for biking and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people on the trail.
This partially paved/gravel trail takes you across the Bow River and across several bridges, including the historic Canmore Engine Bridge. This trail can be connected to other nearby trails for a longer experience, such as the paved West Bow River Pathway.

Palliser Trail

This paved trail runs beside the Palliser Trail Road between Benchlands Trail and the next highway overpass. Like all our trails, dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash
This flat trail is open year-round and offers a clear view of the mountains on either side of the valley.
Benchlands Loop

Accessible
This paved loop with 64 m of elevation gain explores westside of Canmore. If biking, this trail can be a fun cardio exercise due to the relatively large elevation gain. If done clockwise, you ascend on a partially forested path beside Benchlands Trail, descend on a path next to Cougar Creek, and loop back using the relatively flat trail beside Bow Valley Trail. The trail can also be done counterclockwise for an equally enjoyable experience.
There is parking located near the Bike Skills Park on Benchlands Trail.
Like all our trails, dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash at all times.
Legacy Trail

This popular paved bike trail connects Canmore to Banff and runs mostly alongside the Trans Canada Highway. The trail officially starts at the Legacy Trail parking lot in Canmore, ends at the edge of the Town of Banff, and can be connected to other paved paths going further into Canmore or Banff. About halfway into the trail, the Valleyview Day Use area is a good rest stop or turnaround point.
