I understand and agree that the Town of Canmore is permitting me to park my vehicle on a Safe Park Program lot. I understand that The Town of Canmore and Community Program Partners will not be responsible or liable for any damage, loss, theft (vehicle and/or contents) that occur or arise from this program. I fully understand and acknowledge that I am undertaking this activity at my own risk and expense, and I hereby release The Town of Canmore and Community Program Partners from any liability related to this program and hold harmless, indemnify, and release, and forever discharge The Town of Canmore and Community Program Partner and all its trustees, officers, representative(s), agents and employees from and against any and all claims, demands, and actions or causes of action, on account of damage to personal property, or personal injury, or death which may result from the Safe Park Program.

All Safe Park participants must agree to the following:

  • Respect the Town of Canmore's Community Standards Bylaw, including but not limited to, maintaining quiet hours between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. daily.
  • Only use Safe Park stalls between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. daily.
  • Keep the area clean and free of animal attractants by using local bearsafe garbage bins and porta potties. This includes but is not limited to grey water, garbage, human waste, and food.
  • Always keep personal belongings inside a vehicle. This means that clothing, lawn chairs, and cooking-related items must remain inside the vehicle.
  • Sleep no more than two people in a vehicle.
  • Maintain a valid driver's licence, insurance, and registration while participating in the program.
  • Notify Town of Canmore staff if leaving the Safe Park program.
  • Only park registered Safe Park vehicles in a designated Safe Park site and stall. 

If anyone in a registered vehicle with the Safe Park program fails to comply with the agreements above, they may be unable to participate in the Safe Park program, and any fees paid will not be reimbursed. The consequences of not complying with the Program Responsibility Agreement will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If the Program Responsibility Agreement is not adhered to, then the Town of Canmore will provide clear written documentation to program participants on the areas on non-compliance.
