Alberta Health Services volunteers are an integral part of the healthcare team, supporting and enhancing the work of our healthcare professionals.

Volunteers in Canmore are engaged in meaningful activities and roles such as patient visitation, driving clients to medical appointments, feeding assistance in Long Term Care, hospital gardening, Ladies Auxiliary activities, pet visitation and much more.

AHS welcomes people from diverse backgrounds who wish to make a positive impact in the lives of our patients, residents, clients and their families.  Volunteering is an excellent way to explore new careers, learn useful skills, give back to your community and make new friends.

Volunteers are the heart of Friends of Kananaskis Country.  They are a driving force behind many of our programs and activities.  Our successful trail care initiatives and many of the special events we organize or participate in are possible because individuals donate their time and energy.

If you feel a special connection to nature and wish to see the future generations enjoy the wild beauty of Kananaskis Country, why not consider volunteering for our Kananaskis trail care program?  You’ll get out in nature, visit the parks and wild spaces of Kananaskis Country, meet new people, and make a difference to Alberta’s natural landscape.
