Housing Action - Livability Task Force Appointments
Council appointed six public members to the Livability Task Force. This task force’s work is focused on livability and positively impacting Canmore’s housing crisis. The task force has three primary objectives and will complete their input in three phases:
- Phase 1: Develop a Plan to Phase Out the Tourist Home Designation
- Phase 2: Investigate tax options to incentivize long-term occupancy of residential units, and
- Phase 3: Investigate tax options to incentivize purpose-built rental accommodation.
