Business Registry Bylaw Amendment - Visitor Accommodation
After hearing from the public, council gave second and third readings to Business Registry Bylaw Amendments 2025-24 - Visitor Accommodation. The amendments align the business licence requirements for Visitor Accommodation units with the requirements for Tourist Homes, where each titled unit must have their own business licence.

New FireSmart Project
Council approved a new FireSmart project for the Canyon Ridge area, which is anticipated to begin in November. The project will be funded from a grant through the Forest Resource Improvement Association of Alberta (FRIAA).

Council also:

1. Approved an amended Employee Code of Conduct Policy.
2. Approved a new Encroachment Policy.
3. Gave three readings to the Cultural Advisory Committee Establishment Bylaw Amendment, which updated the public membership composition requirements, and improved Indigenous membership language.
