FireSmart Neighbourhood Recognition Program
Committee of the Whole heard an overview of the FireSmart Neighbourhood Recognition Program. This is a new program for our community (we still have the FireSmart home assessment program), which will allow us to focus on FireSmarting entire neighbourhoods in Canmore. We have our first neighbourhood in Canmore participating - FireSmart Peaks in the Peaks of Grassi. The Fire-Rescue team has been working with this neighbourhood group to implement the program.
