The Town of Canmore is launching a new online permit portal for select Development and Building Permit applications to increase transparency, accountability, access to information, and to make your life easier.
Starting in November 2023, you will be able to submit select permit applications using a step-by-step online portal on our website which will streamline your application and allow you to access information about the status of your application as a self-service.
We are taking a phased approach to launching the online portal. The first phase of the launch will include the following applications:
- Detached Dwellings Development and Building Permits
- Non-Residential Development and Building Permits (commercial, industrial, institutional and mixed-use residential/commercial)
The above applications must be submitted using the portal once it goes live; we will no longer accept PDF forms submitted via e-mail. All other permits and development applications will continue to be submitted by emailing planning@canmore.ca.
