The Town of Canmore’s 75% Traffic Weight Restriction is effective April 2, 2024 until further notice on all town roads, EXCEPT the following:
- Mountain Avenue (from Ray McBride Street to the east exit of the Trans-Canada Highway),
- Bow Valley Trail,
- 17 Street (from Bow Valley Trail to Industrial Place),
- Elk Run Boulevard (from Highway 1A to Glacier Drive),
- Glacier Drive,
- Boulder Crescent,
- Industrial Place,
- Benchlands Trail (from Bow Valley Trail to the Benchlands Trail Overpass).
Request for an exemption must be e-mailed to engineering@canmore.ca, along with details of the load, number of trips, proposed route, date & time of travel and copy of provincial permit, if applicable.
