On the first Thursday of each month, join Cindy Bond from Alzheimer Calgary for a free workshop
series geared toward care partners of people living with dementia, and/or anyone interested in learning more about dementia. You can attend one or all the workshops.

Preparation is the key! During this talk we will discuss things to consider when caring for someone living with dementia over the holidays. 

Babies and Blankets is designed for parents with infants ages 0-12 months. This drop-in program allows you and your baby to have the chance to meet other families with young children in Canmore in a casual, unstructured setting. Participants may join and leave at any point during each session.

Embracing Outdoor Play is a free outdoor program for caregivers and young children ages 2 - 6 inspired by the Scandinavian concept friluftsliv (pronounced free-loofts-liv), which loosely translates to “open-air living” or embracing nature and enjoying the outdoors as a way of life. The program teaches participants how to safely play outside in all temperatures, interactive nature walks and unstructured outdoor play. Participants will have access to an indoor facility if required; however, the program will be facilitated entirely outside.

Equipment Needed: Weather-appropriate clothing. Any personal items such as snacks, water, diapers, toys etc.

Note: Caregivers will be provided with resources on how to dress for winter weather prior to the program. If outdoor clothing is a barrier to your attendance, please reach out to FRNadmin@camore.ca for assistance.

Location: Scout Hall, 914 8 St. (Outdoor components will be facilitated in the forest near Riverside Park)

Embracing Outdoor Play is a free outdoor program for caregivers and young children ages 2 - 6 inspired by the Scandinavian concept friluftsliv (pronounced free-loofts-liv), which loosely translates to “open-air living” or embracing nature and enjoying the outdoors as a way of life. The program teaches participants how to safely play outside in all temperatures, interactive nature walks and unstructured outdoor play. Participants will have access to an indoor facility if required; however, the program will be facilitated entirely outside.

Equipment Needed: Weather-appropriate clothing. Any personal items such as snacks, water, diapers, toys etc.
