Climate Café: Living with Climate Anxiety

Date: Sept. 27, 2023 from 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Location: Canmore Miner's Union Hall (738 7 Street, Canmore)

At the Canmore Miner’s Hall, join us for an evening of conversation and connection over a delicious meal. This conversation is for those who are feeling overwhelmed, concerned, or anxious about the state of our planet, and will provide an opportunity to explore our personal and collective experiences living with Climate Anxiety. We will use Joanna Macy’s work to ground this conversation as we move together through the four-fold spiral: Beginning in gratitude, honoring our pain for the world, seeing with new eyes and moving forward. 

Community Conversations are an opportunity to practice communication styles grounded in sharing and learning as opposed to debating or convincing. We are committed to making Conversations a safe, respectful, and inclusive space for all.   

FREE healthy dinner will be provided.

series geared toward care partners of people living with dementia, and/or anyone interested in learning more about dementia. You can attend one or all the workshops.

In this interactive workshop you will learn practical strategies to equip yourself with helpful communication and behavior frameworks for caregiving. You will gain confidence, build your resiliency, and empower yourself with great skills.
