Canmore has two NHL size arenas! Both are utilized for Junior A hockey, adult recreational hockey, minor hockey, figure skating, speed
skating, learn-to-skate programs, public shinny, and public skating.

Ice Arena Bookings 

To request one off ice bookings, please click here to complete the form.  Tournament ice is not available between October 1 and April 2, 2023.


Seasonal ice bookings

Seasonal ice booking requests are to be submitted by May 15 for regular season ice requests from September to April. Click here to complete the ice request form.

Certificate of Insurance

For arena rentals, the renter must provide a certificate of insurance (COI) with the Town of Canmore (902 7th Avenue, Canmore, AB T1W 3K1) listed as the additional insured for a minimum of $2 million liability. The location of the arenas must be listed on the COI – Canmore Recreation Centre, 1900 8th Avenue, Canmore, AB, T1W 1Y2.  Please email a copy of your COI, a minimum 30 days prior to the ice rental date, to This email address is being protected from spambots.
