What is Happening?
An application for a mixed-use building has been received for the vacant portion of the parcel that is located on privately owned land at 900 Railway Avenue. The development proposes 59 residential units above the ground floor with parking located on the ground floor. Additional parking will be provided as surface parking on the parcel. One commercial unit is also being proposed on the ground floor.Â
The proposed use is listed as a discretionary use within the Gateway Commercial District of the Land Use Bylaw. The development does not comply with the Land Use Bylaw, with the following therefore variances requested:
