Indoor Events and Wedding Receptions

Room 200 at the Canmore Recreation Centre is available to rent for your wedding reception, family get-together, or pre/post wedding event. The space can accommodate up to 120 people with a buffet-style set up. The room includes a fully equipped servery and integrated audio system. Features of the space include a vaulted ceiling, dimmable lighting, wood flooring, and natural light.

Fees and Payment Terms
Rental Fee (flat fee)
Saturday full day rental  $1500 + GST


Optional Fees (flat fee)
Friday evening decorating/set up  $250 + GST
Sunday clean up  $225 + GST
Projector/Screen  $20 + GST
Handheld Mic $20 + GST

Payment Terms:
Full payment is due at the time of booking. 50% non-refundable prior to 90 days of the rental date. Non-refundable within 90 days.

Room Capacity
The room can hold up to 120 people including the wedding party.  Banquet style table - 8 seats per table. Plus a buffet tables set up.

Food, Beverages, and Serving
Booking customers can use the caterer of their choice, and bookings include full use of the servery. For bookings in which alcohol is being served, a bartender with ProServe must be hired. Certification of ProServe must be provided at least 30 days prior to the event booking. A liquor license must also be obtained by the booking customer and provided prior to the event. 

Servery (395 square feet) includes:
• ice machine
• warming ovens
• fridges
• industrial dishwasher
• food cart
• kettle
• coffee maker
• water glasses
• water jugs
• wine glasses
• serving utensils
• white china place settings
• stainless steel cutlery

Tables and Chairs
Room bookings include the use of padded chairs, round tables, and rectangular tables for the buffet, head table, and gift table. Staff of the Canmore Recreation Centre will set up the tables and chairs.

• Sound system with an iPod/smart phone connector to play your own music
• Projector and screen (available for rent)
• Podium
• Cordless microphone

Decorating
• Self-standing decorations are encouraged
• No pins or tape may be adhered to the walls
• No decorations may be suspended from the ceiling
• Burning candles are prohibited; however, LED candles may be used
• You must rent or provide your own tablecloths

Insurance
Booking customer must obtain a minimum of $2 million liability insurance naming the Town of Canmore as the additional insured
