The Town of Canmore provides municipal government services to the community of Canmore, Alberta. With approximately 120 full time and over 40 part time employees, the Town of Canmore is a busy and dynamic corporation. Because the primary role of the corporation is community service, our corporate mission statement is “Serving the community to enhance our quality of life.”

As a corporation, the Town of Canmore strives to provide high quality service while keeping an eye to the future and thinking strategically about our community and the lives of our residents and visitors. The Town of Canmore is led by a Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) who oversees several areas (Financial Services, Community Infrastructure, Engineering, Planning, Human Resources, Municipal Clerk, Communication and Environmental Care, and Executive Assistant). A Deputy Chief Administrative Officer (DCAO) oversees several areas (Fire Services, Recreation and Facility Services, Public Works, Community Enrichment, Bylaw Services) and reports directly to the CAO.
