Executive Office

Administration takes the lead in all major projects and programs. The head of Administration is the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).  The CAO provides direction to all departments and is the liaison with the Mayor and Councillors.  In addition, the CAO oversees legislative compliance, is responsible for inter-governmental relations; and takes the lead on sustainability initiatives, corporate strategic planning and corporate and public communication. 

In Canmore, the Chief Administrator's Office also includes the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, Executive Office Administrator, the Municipal Clerk, Communication Coordinator, and the RCMP Detachment Commander.
