The Community Infrastructure Division was designed to focus on the strategy, risk and cost management of capital construction projects as Canmore grows and develops its economic base. The goal is to create economies of scale for potential future facilities, especially affordable housing construction. The General Manager of Community Infrastructure is responsible for consolidating and uniting the town’s capital project expertise. The goal is to optimize resource requirements, support more consistent capital project planning and delivery, allow more effective financial and risk management and support greater role clarity for Town department involvement at various stages in project planning and implementation.
