Bow Valley Regional Transit Services Commission

The Municipalities of Canmore and Banff and Improvement District #9 are working with private sector representatives, provincial government representatives, the three ski areas, transportation providers, Parks Canada, environmentalists, and the regional accommodation sector to create a Bow Valley Regional Transit Services Commission (BVRTSC).

The Bow Valley Regional Transit Services Commission (BVRTSC) was formally established on April 21, 2011.

The BVRTSC, made up of the towns of Canmore and Banff and Improvement District #9, is authorized to provide passenger transportation services in the Bow Valley.

The BVRTSC will assume responsibility for Banff’s popular Roam transit service.
