Receiving Your Tax Notice

Property Tax payment deadline is June 30.

Non-receipt of your property tax notice does not exempt you from penalty due to late payment.

If you have not received your tax notice by the second week of June, contact us by phone at 403-678-1506 or e-mail at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Please provide your name, property address and daytime phone number.

Tax bills are sent to the mailing address recorded at the Land Titles Office and it is the property owner's responsibility to keep the Land Titles record accurate.  Under the Municipal Government Act, once mailed, the bill is considered to have been received within seven days.

If mail sent by the Town of Canmore Tax Department is returned by the post office as “undeliverable”, we will make a reasonable effort to locate the owner(s). If our efforts are unsuccessful the returned mail items will be stored in the tax roll file and a notation will be made in our database.

Mailing Address changed? If your mailing address has changed notify the Town of Canmore in writing. Click here to download a fillable Change of Property Owner's Mailing Address form (under 'Property Tax' heading).
