| Memorial Bench Program |

The Town of Canmore Parks Department offers a Memorial bench program that citizens can participate in. A bench with a bronze plaque can be purchased in memory of loved ones or friends. There are to date 65 benches installed. Due to the recent success of this program, we can only approve and install 4-6 new benches per year. At the time of your application request, you will be informed of the length of the waiting list. At present it is around 2-3 years. Some locations, such as along the Bow River down town, have reached their capacity and no new benches will be added to this area. Only completed application forms will be accepted and in priority order of receiving them. An application form is only considered complete when the application form includes three requests for a bench site location; the plaque information (wording); one of the requested bench site locations has been approved by the Supervisor of Parks. The Park Department can assist you with filling in your application form by suggesting some potential bench locations.
