Staff Accommodation
Some people living and working in Canmore or Banff live in staff accommodation. Staff accommodation is generally cheaper than having your own apartment or sharing a house. Most often, employers will deduct rent and the damage deposit right off of your pay cheque. Another benefit is that staff accommodations are fully furnished; therefore, there is no need to buy furniture and appliances.
If looking for staff accommodation when moving to Canmore or Banff, secure employment with staff accommodations before arriving.
Most employers in Lake Louise provide their staff with housing. If you don’t like your staff accommodation you can move to Field, B.C. (a 20 minute drive in good weather) or to Banff (a 40 minute drive in good weather). (Thought since mentioning Lake Louise, Banff should be mentioned too)
