Festival of Eagles is going Wild! Every year our community comes together at Festival of Eagles to enjoy a day of activities and entertainment in celebration of the Golden Eagle's migration. We gather, share, learn and enjoy Canmore's amazing mountain setting.

Join us this year as we celebrate the last year of Festival of Eagles and transition into Wild ... an expanded event.

In 2016 you can expect wild experiences that celebrate nature, imagination, the outdoors and all that makes Canmore such a great town and community to live in.

Schedule of Events

October 16 - 18, 2015

Brian Keating is coming to town! Owner of Going Wild, he is not to be missed.

Join Brian Keating at the Canmore Collegiate High School and let him transport you to amazing places in the world as he presents "Going High", A spirit-lifting journey.

Brian has been traveling the wilds of the world for nearly 4 decades, exploring some 50 countries on all 7 continents.  His passion for remote travel will be revealed as only Brian can do, with his buoyant method of story telling.  Punctuated throughout with humour and personal anecdotes, he’ll illustrate this presentation with his own live-narrated video segments.

He promises a journey into the high mountains of the Andes of South America, the Himalaya of Asia, and his recent expeditions into the highlands of Ethiopia in Africa.  He will specifically look at the rich assortment of specialized life forms that live there.  A special highlight will be a visual account of searching for the elusive snow leopard. And finally, he’ll return to our own Canadian mountain backyard, reconfirming the value of our collective understanding of the importance of wild spaces.

His presentation is designed to inspire and enthuse, offering hope for a better tomorrow.
